World-Class RV Repair

I don’t usually write reviews because many seem forced or written for a reward. But I feel it’s important to share my very positive experience at The RV Shop, especially for fellow RVers looking for a trustworthy repair facility that gets the job done right the first time.

Even though I live several hours away from New Castle, Delaware, I specifically sought out a shop with the experience needed to diagnose and resolve my issues without requiring multiple return visits. The RV Shop stands out as one of the largest facilities on the East Coast, featuring 80 service bays within an impressive 80,000 square-foot building. Knowing that they service the buses for the Philadelphia Eagles gave me confidence in their expertise to handle my RV with the same high standard.

I'm extremely pleased with the service I received. The team at The RV Shop showed great confidence and quickly diagnosed some tricky mechanical and electrical issues in my 2023 Thor Four Winds after a summer of traveling on some very rough roads and mountainous terrain.

Diagnosing RV problems can be tough since they endure constant jarring, like a house on a fault line experiencing daily earthquakes. I faced a short caused by a pinched 12V line, which led to power loss in my rear bedroom and bathroom. The technicians diagnosed and fixed the problem swiftly.

I also had an issue with my rear camera that turned out to be related to the display screen on my radio. The staff managed to find a perfect replacement by consulting with my RV’s manufacturer. Additionally, a TPMS sensor failure was fixed at the same time, which was very convenient.

I know RV repairs aren’t cheap—it’s just part of owning a motorhome. I have an extended service plan, which can be a blessing and a hassle. My plan seemed to complicate the claim process out of the ESP’s desire to avoid paying a claim, but Sabrina, the senior quality assurance manager, stepped up and handled everything professionally. Her knowledge of the claims process resulted in a quick resolution, making me a very happy camper!

The customer service was outstanding. When I arrived, Simon, a service representative, greeted me and guided me through the process and took pictures of all the work to be done, including an inventory of some valuable equipment left aboard the RV. Because I had to leave my RV for several days, I needed to rent a car to get home and was honestly a little concerned that the cost of a rental could increase costs significantly. But, The RV Shop fully understood my concerns and kept me informed every step of the way regarding my RV’s progress and pickup time. The work was completed on schedule as promised, thereby minimizing my rental car expenses.

Though I could have chosen a closer facility, I know from experience that it's essential to find a shop with a high level of expertise and commitment to customer needs. No other place has come close to the outstanding service I received at The RV Shop.

As an RV owner, it's crucial to fix issues correctly the first time. That’s exactly what I found at The RV Shop, thanks to the management's dedication and the technicians’ skill.
